What Causes Chin Acne

chinacneSo far, you have probably wondered what the main cause of chin acne is, but this cannot be explained by one thing only. There is a great number of various factors including genetics, diet and hormonal activity; yet, inflammation and bacteria overgrowth are the basic ones. Almost 90 percent of teenagers suffer from this problem, while it is not the case with adults.

A cyst, pimple, or boil appears as a bacterial infection. In most cases, these infections can be cured either by antibiotics taken orally or antibiotic ointments that are applied topically. However, treating acne with antibiotics is not usually recommended as acne can last for many years, which means that your digestive system may be harmed after a while. Besides, this can make way to more serious infections, since the body gradually becomes resistant to antibiotics. After a while you will need stronger and stronger ones. On the other hand, antibacterial ointments can be used more frequently, but they can irritate skin. Instead of that, you can use natural antibacterial compounds such as tea tree or Neem oil as they certainly won’t cause skin irritation.

As numerous researches show, people who suffer from acne have insufficient amount of vitamin A and vitamin E in their blood. It can be prevented by taking a good daily amount of multi-vitamin. However, in most cases skin care dermatologists prescribe isotretinoin for acne treatment. It reduces or completely resolves the problem within the period of 4-6 months, but the bad side is that it can be followed by many side effects, some of which can be very dangerous.

What many people don’t know is that isotretinoin is a synthetic form of vitamin A.  The form of vitamin A found in fish and animals can be toxic if taken in high doses, which is probably why isotretinoin is known to damage the liver.  Instead of taking isotretinoin you should take beta-carotene supplements or enlarge the intake of some foods like carrots. It will have the same effects, and even more important thing is that it won’t do any harm to your health.

However, in this article you can certainly find out what some of the possible ways to treat chin acne are. After all, time is all that it takes to get rid of them. Just be patient and nature will take care of you.
